Sure, but that doesn't dictate that I think JACKASS has any merit. I mean, I know kicking someone in the nuts on square requires effort, but it is what it is.

if anybody is actually interested in reading about this copyright crackdown and why it could effect things of value to our hobby, here's a link: http://www.theouthousers.com/index.php/ ... ideos.html

I think Jackass is stupid and mostly unfunny. However from the things I've seen I can admit they put a lot of effort into looking like morons and hurting themselves. I wish there weren't so many people that found it funny, but I'm not going to go campaign for them to be 'banned' in some form or be happy at some sweeping nonsense that's affecting things that I find valuable along with the 'crap'.

Interestingly, Mozgus and I were discussing this all last night and he really, really does sound like Steve.

Well, I guess that sucks? I'm all for letting these folks do as they please even though I do not enjoy or watch 99.999% of 'let's play' videos that I've been forced to watch. Would rather just.. Play the games? And not listen to some random Internet personality's bad jokes.

That's not to say all of these videos are bad. I am told that some of these guys actually know what the heck they're doing and are good with explaining mechanics and little details about games that might inspire one to try it out. On the other hand, I'd rather watch grass grow than see another video of pewdiepie fake screaming and blurting out bad jokes every chance he gets.

I will admit that I have occasionally checked out gameplay videos (generally without needless commentary) to sort of see what a game might look and play like.

Anyway, carry on.

I give this thread a 2 out of 10. It started out interesting but the conversations soon fell into the all-too-commonplace bickering and some people started acting assholish (though I do admit that was inevitable).

This thread is not worth your time/money. Buy it on sale or used. I'd upload this review to youtube but I'd get flagged for showing Ballz 3D: Director's Cut footage. Then I'd have to get a "real" job.

I can't think of a better way to improve a thread than to call people assholes. *nods* thread is at least 3/10 now.

Trying to figure out what happened here - lots of side conversations making it tough.

Best I can tell youtube for some reason or other is canceling this youtube channel?

Maybe it's more complicated than that, but if that's it, regardless if people like the channel or not, youtube et al is within their rights to cancel any accounts or videos they so choose - it's their site and their rules... and this other fella has the opportunity to show his videos on his own site. Is there a bigger picture?
