I think the 3DS version will probably end up being a birthday gift for my brother's birthday this summer but I'll be sure to play it some myself.

"Last year, Gematsu was tipped off prior to E3 about six new characters supposedly set to appear in Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS. They were: Mega Man, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Little Mac, Pac-Man, Mii.
So far, all have been confirmed except for Pac-Man and Mii.
Today we receive a new email from the same tipster who claims Pac-Man and Mii are still on the way, and the following characters will also appear.
Shulk (Xenoblade)
Palutena (Kid Icarus)
Chrom (Fire Emblem)
Chorus Men (Rhythm Heaven)
Pokemon from X &Y"

They always have Marth and the latest protagonist of a Fire Emblem game, and Chrom should have been in this instead of Ike. And Shulk is a protagonist of a niche but popular with the hardcore crowd, Nintendo game. Not to mention they've got a sequel to promote. The only reason Palateuna is in this is because team Sora developed Kid Icarus Uprising.
