Wouldn't call MB mainstream, but it does have an active and pretty dedicated community.

Yeah it should be bigger than it is and have a domestic release. Pretty solid.

I'm a little late in replying but yes, there definitely needs to be another Bloody Roar game. Give.Us.BR5 dammit. Imagine how awesome it'd be on new gen consoles. Just as long as they let us have Bakuryu :P

Eternal Champions for the Sega CD. I'm sure I would kinda loathe it today but I liked the fighters from various time periods and the fatalities were off the rails crazy. This is probably coming from less of a gameplay stand point and more of a "pull off all the fatalities" stand point but still, my friends and I had a ton of fun with that one.

If Rival Schools is obscure then yeah another vote for that one here as well. It was a very solid fighter and if nothing else you can't really beat the crazy yelling while smacking someone across the screen with a baseball bat.

What about favorite fighter that is extremely popular but an obscure port? Or should this be another thread? I just recently got street fighter 2x for matching service on the dreamcast.

But it seems the dreamcast one is pretty obscure.

I understand that, but it appears the "obscure" by OP's definition in this particular thread is in regards towards a games popularity in the mainstream or don't get enough attention or exposure. ST is fairly popular fighter even today, regardless if it's hard to come by on Sega Dreamcast.
