I've been trying to play through on the hardest difficulty pretty recently. I typically wind up losing the default 4 credits in Area 6, but managed to get to the first sliver of Area 7 a few times.

That mini boss at the start of Area 3 becomes a real pain in the ass after a while.

O.O I didn't see that post until you showed it to me. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!

There's this part I really hate in Area 6 where you get attacked by fleets of ships shooting those yellow beams, whilst worrying about ground turrets at the same time.

Again, great scores on the Saturn port.

Did NOT lose a life in the first two stages. A first! Had full gun therefore extra pickups were POINTS! You all talk about the bosses in stages 4-6, I've got my hands full with this badass on Stage 3! Sadly, I can't get rid of the spider ship preceding it quickly enough, I think that would tack around another 100K (and possibly EXTEND) to that score.

I was thinking, either I'm getting old and rusty in my shmup skills, and I know the scores are all legit on the Normal difficulty, but how can you all do better on the Saturn?

To test this, I also played it in MAME. Not much difference, the 1pt scoring is not there as you can see, and the screen is a bit less smushed for a near-TATE experience.

Also, on the times I can reach Stage 3, the music is freaking amazing.
