that's right. and if the game loops then it's a 1-ALL or 2-ALL.
or 2-1 if say you died in the first stage of the 2nd loop.

Yup.

I did it the easy way. Just happened to get lucky and have 4 lives going in to the final boss. I honestly just bombed the crap out of Tyrannosatan. Not very familiar with his bullet patterns so I figured risking death wasn't even worth it, haha.

I seem to be the only one using mame on this board. If anyone is interested I'm using slowpoke mame with the blitter slowdown set at 64%. I found playing regular mame there was some slowdown but not much and after watching videos online and seeing the amount of slowdown in the real deal I decided to check out slowpoke and see what settings people were using (65%). Now there is slowdown in most of the areas that show up in the arcade. The only downside is the speed at which it goes from slow to normal speed is much faster than it should be. Its as close as you can get to the real thing in emulation I suppose.

I'm not really up on MAME and all that... but do you not have a 360? Deathsmiles is dirt cheap.

No I have a PS3 :( but Im going to move into a bigger place in the next few months and after I get settled I'm going to invest in some PCBs I think.

I'm still trying to decide though if I should get a cab or an Xbox. I'm tempted to snag a cheap xbox off craigslist and mod it to be region free (for other games) but I've been told thats more of a hassle than its worth. The PCB route is expensive but would be fun and easier to accomplish I think.

didn't noiseredux state this game has a deep scoring system a few pages back? he is spot on. takes a second to learn but a lifetime to master. still trying to figure out what the hell to do.

and do any other characters have different attributes?
if you took a shit, please put it back

I think this is the last score I'm going to post for DS for a while. I'm starting to burn out while trying to 1cc. For some reason I can't avoid getting hit twice during the normal levels. Then I get to the final boss with only two health bars every time and I always get owned.

I realize I'm late to this party... But holy crap this game is fantastic! Picked it up last night along with a copy of raiden IV from GameStop on some trades.

This is my first cave game and I'm slowly figuring out the scoring... But had a nice run. One decent score out of a lot of tries
