Having not actually played the previous two games and having no actual expectations other than there's a big dragon thing and either I'm going to die at the end or the dragon dies at the end, I've got it coming and I have no idea when I'll get around to it. I've got the Ico/Colossus bundle that I need to get through first. Maybe I'll make the quasi-trilogy the first thing I do in the new year.

I have the same concerns, if I'm honest. There's also, seemingly, no hype, no anticipation, no marketing and promotion. After all the initial hype and anticipation over the years, it all does feel a little anticlimactic and, as you described, like they're just putting it out there to be done with it.

That said, ICO and especially Shadow of the Colossus are some of my favourite games of all time, so I hope we're wrong.

Final Fantasy XV is also pretty good in my opinion.

I was skeptical but the latest videos I've seen make it look pretty amazing.

I guess we can change the title of this thread? Or should we wait until tomorrow?

Reviews vary quite a bit, but most are positive. If I had a PS4 I'd buy it.

Maybe it took so long due to technical issues. Apparently framerate suffers on a standard PS4 even, (DigitalFoundry suggests PS4 Pro using the 1080p30 mode)...and given that it was originally targeting PS3 that seems odd.

Remember how terrible the framerate was for Shadow of the Colossus on PS2? It's tradition.

Not surprising being a quirky Japanese game.
