Ok, so that is a slightly sensational headline, but still...

of course, idiot that proposes bill does it himself, politicians have no right making bills about things they do no understand.
Wouldn't that mean we'd only need one C-SPAN channel, and it would only need to air an hour a day?

Sure, but who wants to watch an hour of commercials?

I'm saying very few congressmen actually understand what they're supporting. Just like how very few citizens know what their congressmen are supporting.

I think Racketboy should black out on the 18th like other sites. Good to show solidarity against such a travesty as SOPA.

That's a big one. They've postponed the hearing until the council can come to a "consensus" as well, so they're feeling the heat and backlash already. But I certainly hope sites still go with the blackout plan and the outcries just continue to get louder, this is a step towards victory but not a sure victory until this is completely written off and destroyed.

Looks like Eric Cantor is halting proceedings related to SOPA. This is a good thing, but too early to call it "dead" as many already have. This is just a procedural delay, and the bill can be picked back up at any time.

Still this is progress.

a few of my friends are saying this is only happening because it's an election year. I don't do politics much but what do you guys think of that?
