Well, wouldn't Volnutt have that raw power?
Flake said earlier that X and Zero have more power and potential than MegaMan and Bass (and Protoman obviously) thanks to more advanced tech, even though they were built around the same period of time.
Wouldn't Volnutt have the same advantage, being around so much later in the series timeline? (I'm assuming the technology actually improved, remember, I haven't played Legends)
Mega Man X series post MMX3- Are they worth playing?

I suppose. It's hard to say. Where's Keiji Inafune when you need him?CFFJR wrote:Well, wouldn't Volnutt have that raw power?

Re: Mega Man X series post MMX3- Are they worth playing?
It gets really tricky to avoid spoilers here... Legends is sort of post-apocalyptic. Most of the best technology is ancient and buried by this point. Part of the initial premise is that Volnutt was adopted as an infant by a family of "diggers" who make their living by scavenging ancient technology from extremely dangerous ruins. Most of his equipment is cobbled together from a mixture of salvaged ancient tech and modern low-tech junk (you literally find some of it in trash cans), so it's really hard to say how good his gear is, at least.CFFJR wrote:Wouldn't Volnutt have the same advantage, being around so much later in the series timeline? I can't blame you. When I get into any story I start uber-analyzing every aspect of it. So I get where you're coming fromCFFJR wrote:I suppose this whole discussion is a bit difficult then isn't it?

I didn't even know the MegaMan series had as much of a story as it does.Gamerforlife wrote:I can't blame you. When I get into any story I start uber-analyzing every aspect of it. So I get where you're coming fromCFFJR wrote:I suppose this whole discussion is a bit difficult then isn't it?

My understanding of the story before this thread was basically Wily is evil, stop him by blowing up awesome robots with Megaman the awesome robot

Re: Mega Man X series post MMX3- Are they worth playing?
The original series has almost no plot within each episode, but after ten installments plus side-stories, there's actually a little bit there when you take it all together. The X series and everything after it is about as plot-heavy as platformers get--especially starting at X4.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I didn't even know the MegaMan series had as much of a story as it does.

And what happens if X and Rock try to absorb each others' absorption ability?
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.
