Something new
Wonder Boy - Too Much
Album: Mega Power
http://kevinwillingham.bandcamp.com/track/too-much

And no it isn't video game music covers, or chip tunes. But...I liked the name anyway haha.

Guess I should throw my hat into here now as my band is kind of taking off. I play drums for a punk/ska band called Rebel Radio. I knew one of the guys from the band from work, and one day he said they needed a new drummer, I happened to play drums (though I never even considered being in a band honestly, just loved playing them) and said I would like to try out.

Here we are about 4 months later and have played 4 shows and are about to release a 6 song ep. My wife has been super supportive and has become our personal promoter on facebook, always pushing our shows and putting up pics. For now all I have to show is some low quality you tube vids, but you can get a good idea of our sound. I would like to point out that I have only been playing drums for 2 years, and my only other experience was my extensive rockband playing lol.

I'm playing a small (what I assume to be) open mic next friday. It's been ages since I played live, so I'm nervous. Also, life's gotten in the way so I'm actually having to relearn several of my own songs. ha.

it should be fun.

My first show in a LONG time went pretty well. I messed up a lot, but of course I'm my own worst critic. It was a lot of fun, and I even ran into a buddy I hadn't seen in like 5 years! He was in the 2nd band playing. Also, I got asked back for another set sometime in December, so that'll be nice.

Cool! I was looking for a thread like this.

This is my old band, Odessa Stair: https://soundcloud.com/odessa-stair

I do the electric guitar and lead hollering. We broke up about two years ago but we had a lot of fun playing out. We were into bands like Husker Du, The Germs and Big Black.

The Barry Mashroom Legend is a sort of side project consisting of me and the bassist of Odessa Stair. It's a proudly self-indulgent affair where we entertain every bad musical idea that comes to mind. Sounds a bit like The Butthole Surfers and Cromagnon.

1st album: https://soundcloud.com/barrymashroomlegend
2nd album: http://bmlegend.bandcamp.com/

Now I'm going to check out all the stuff you guys put up. :D

I'm liking the Odessa Stair stuff (i'm a big fan of all the influences as well!). Some of it reminds me of Mission of Burma post-punk type stuff; especially the song photonegative.
