China and Russia are huge dicks.
I'm all for a quasi-isolationist stance, but even the Arab League wants Assad to go. Russia and China are just worried that they'll be the targets of this sort of action if they allow us to take out someone who massacres their own people.

If you get to the point where people won't stop even if you shoot them and bomb them, you've pretty much lost. It's just a case of how long, and at what cost till you fall.

Not always. There have been failed revolutions. Assad is especially dangerous, unlike Mubarek but like Qaddafi, in that he doesn't care at all about how he kills. We can only hope that there are enough defectors to be able to overcome superior firepower.

Yeah but in those cases the first killings made people stop. He's killed so many people and it only makes people more angry rather than afraid.....well I'm sure they are afraid, but I guess some things are worth dieing for.

Assuming Iran is trying to get nuclear weapons (although, who in that area wouldn't), China and Russia would likely prefer to have another power in the region to curb the Israeli/USA shenanigans. Who do you think is calling for an attack on Iran in the first place?

Iran is, when their president said that he wanted to "wipe Israel off the map."

Military power? Specially one that buys weapons from them? Yes. Nuclear armed power? No no no no no no no no no. The world doesn't need another North Korea. Countries that survive solely on their military may change their target anytime.
