I don't have any problems using RGB on my PS2, I just use a normal RGB SCART cable and it works fine.

Some stuff simply doesn't play nice with Sync-on-Green. Ps2 only uses SoG when it's in 480p mode though.

I'm getting really confused on PS2/Wii's VGA being better than Component... Wouldn't Wii still be 480p and have the "jaggies" in the image?
Oh, and here's the HDMI NES thing I mentioned earlier, but be warned that it's still in the WIP stages.
And lastly, is it worth mentioning the PS2's GS Mode Selector and other Homebrew-related software that betters the video output I'd there is any else?

A component signal (Y Pb Pr) isn't quite as high quality as an RGB signal. I've seen pictures comparing the 2 on another forum. The difference in quality isn't nearly as pronounced as S-video to Component, and on many of my displays I can barely tell the difference between the 2 signal types.

My PVM isn't set for sync-on-green when I use RGB and it still works OK no matter the game.

If it's a PVM then it probably works with Sync-on-Green. SoG is Sony's own thing after all.

Yes, but you usually have to set a switch or button for sync-on-green and I never bother with that.

I've never heard of needing to set any sort of switch, but I've never actually owned a PVM (though I have another RGB monitor). My old monitor worked with sync-on-green and I never had to flip any sort of switch for it.

XRGB on the other hand chokes up when you switch ps2 games to 480p.

Does that mean I can't put PS2 games of every resolution through the iScan Pro (240p, 480i/p, GS Mode Selector's 720i/p & 1080i)?
