control wise, the GBA version moves much faster. the enemies also seems to behave differently in gba.. for example. i can move past by them without getting grab all the time. so it's definitely a different experience for gba..so i wouldn't compare our score. 
Anyway, like I said -- the scores are more for us to keep track of our personal bests, or see how others playing the same port are doing.
