Can't believe I have almost 200 Sega Saturn complete games. Over 100 of them are imports

I did this the other day when I tallied up the number of games I have for the original Xbox. I thought, "What am I doing with my life and my money?" Then, I stood back, gazed at its awesomeness, and felt awesome.

The PS2 is such a Juggernaut when it comes to most retail releases, it's actually one of the first consoles i would liquidate if i had to, even though i have the most games for it.

Quantity =/= Quality

Even though the PS2 has plenty of quality titles.

Right now my NES and SNES collections are both tied with 102 games each.

102 is what my PS2 collection is at currently.

Cart based stuff is nowhere close. Not even back to what I had as a kid really, for most of them.

Honestly, once you have 102 games, there isn't much else out there worth owning.

There are still some significant holes in my NES collection. I don't own any Castlevania games, for example. I also need the three Famicom Ys games.

Even though NES/SNES are tied at #1 I expect PS2 to overtake them at the end of the year.

Looking at my collection is a strange experience. I own 49 Master System games, but for some reason don't recall purchasing most of them. I didn't even know what a Master System was a few years ago. Also, how the hell did I get 42 Commodore 64 games?

My college roommate gave me my Master System. This was during the heyday of the PSX and N64 and I was buying up all the 50 cent NES games I could. One weekend he went home and brought me back his Master System from when he was a kid. I really don't play it much, but I figure I can't sell it because it was a gift. Currently sitting at around 260 NES games. Thinking I will stop at around 300, but I haven't added any games too recently because they aren't 50 cents anymore.

Looking from my Backloggery, making some adjustments so that game-collections count as one... it seems the Sega Saturn wins!

But then I looked closer and realized that Genesis/Sega CD/32X collection is much larger. BUT I ALREADY VOTED AND IT'S TOO LATE.

Mine would be DC. I'm at 145 DC, followed by 139 Saturn games, and 126 SNES/SFC games.

PS2 because the games are cheap as hell right now and the library is massive . Plus I've had one since right after launch. Had around 457 games for it about 6 months back now it's probably around 500. Although I trimmed some of the fat off the collection a while back so it might still be around 450.

somehow I decided to make oXbox my 'completed' collection to go for, because no one I knew went for that. Then I came here and find a whole bunch of people that did... I then experienced as Guy from Final Fight/SF would refer to as "Profound Sadness".

Aside from that silly Xbox gambit, I generally only collect games and franchises I like (which means I own 0 Wii games ), and have a pretty even spread across all other systems. Though echoing a lot of others so far, I did end up with a lot of PS2 also... it just had a lot of worthwhile games when I was buying tons of shit at retail prices. I also have a metric buttload of loose 2600 games...because...who doesn't? lol.
