Your First RPG
Re: Your First RPG
final fantasy on a friends NES. was too young to really understand how to play or what was going on. Dont think i got past the first boss.
Re: Your First RPG
Dragon Warrior on my neighbor's NES. I was perhaps 3 years old and couldn't quite read enough to tell the difference between "Stairs" and "Status" in the game menu so getting out of the king's throne room was difficult for me.

Re: Your First RPG
I was late to the RPG party, the first one I had was Skies of Arcadia for dreamcast. It still remains one of my favorite games though.

Pokemon Red was my first RPG, and still one of my favourites. In fact, I love less serious RPGs like the pokemon and mario rpgs

Re: Your First RPG
Final Fantasy on the NES. Even with the Nintendo Power strategy guide, it was almost impossible to beat. Buying 99 heal and cure poison potions to get through the Marsh Cave was brutal. And I still remember those damn Sorcerers lurking outside where you find the Masamune sword in the final dungeon. Arrrggggg...

Re: Your First RPG
The first RPG I ever played was Chrono Trigger on the SNES. But I rented it, and didn't have enough time to beat it. So, the very first RPG I played and got into (and finished) was Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast. And it still remains as one of my all-time favorite games...period.
