If you've got a Netflix queue, post the next ten things you're getting.

1. Tetsuo: The Iron Man great stuff...so bizzare, i own number 2. very different...but interesting too2. Eraserhead
3. Stray Dog one of my favorite kurosawa films, tension is the word of the day, check out the Bad Sleep Well too
4. Scanners ok this one is slow, but I love how just odd it is
5. The Dead Pool never seem 5, 6 or 7
6. Salem's Lot
7. The Brood
8. Videodrome this is just so bizzare and James Woods is great
9. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest one of the best film adaptations
10. Serpico my favorite Pachino film

Yeah, I'm watching more Cronenberg films. The Dead Zone is currently 12 in the queue, actually. Should make for some interesting flicks.

Nice selection! Have you seen Naked Lunch? so more Cronenberg, but with the burroughs book as a script it's somewhat interesting. love the typewriter. not sure i actually like the book though.

Unfortunately no, I haven't seen Naked Lunch. Yet. It'll be a little while, but I'll try to check it out.

And for the record, that isn't Kurosawa's Stray Dog, though I have seen it and I'd say it's easily a masterpiece. I really does give a good feel of the despair in postwar Japan, something I'd read about but hadn't seen an excellent example of until I'd watched it.

The Stray Dog I'm getting is actually a relatively recent film(1991), also known as Kerberos Panzer Cops. It's an early film of Mamoru Oshii, and serves as the second in his Kerberos trilogy(Jin-Roh is the third film).

Here's a trailer for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yyMqHX7 ... re=related

Looks cool to me.
