I just think that it is hard to be objective when your main sponsor is one of the major video game companies. If they ever get into a sony vs MS vs Nintendo video, would they be objective? thats all. its not just this site in question, its all gaming sites on the web. I hate when i go on a site and see big ads for games they are reviewing.
I wasn't trying to argue with you, I was just sharing opinions. Anyways some people may disagree but, I kind of like the 1up network. They seem less infuenced by game companies than other sites. For example, they wouldn't review MGS4 because the restrictions Konami wanted to put on them. They also lost a lot of advertising due to honest reviews. Companies were afraid to send them review copies before a games release because they gave shitty games honest scores. We'll see if there new owner lets this honest jounalism continue.

I saw one of their videos on the history of Tetris, though it was on television (G4, I'm guessing, which would be odd since I almost never watch the channel). They were trying to be too clever for their own good (one of the speakers was far more informed than the rest, which begs the question of why the rest were there), but they had their facts in order and the information was presented well enough.

Found this show a while ago myself, they haven't had a new episode in quite some time sadly. However, they will hold a permanent place in my RSS reader, awaiting the updates!

Don't remember what their credentials are, however, I do remember it says at the begining of the episode where they are from. Some of them were from industry press (I remember Cnet/AOL games?) and another worked at a developer, so they have some credentials.
