perhaps it would be a bit on the gaudy side, but the black on cream white design that doesn't conform at all with the horrible shape of the xbox doesn't exactly reach successful minimalism. The design of the xbox isn't minimal, so why go that route?

I dunno. Admittedly the Xbox is a pretty ugly piece of kit, but it's certainly a large canvas.
