If I sent an HRAP could you put the NES Advantage stick and buttons in it?

That grey Namco Arcade Stick is a really good option. I use one with PS1 and PS2 - gets a lot of use and still responds very well, very cleanly. I think mine was £25 off ebay or thereabouts, boxed, maybe a year or so ago.

The ASCII PS1 stick is compatible with some PS2 games. I do not recommend the Radica Gamester sticks. They're not terrible, but they're very...clicky... Kind of annoying.

No, not really. It would take an extreme amount of effort and would be horribly kludgy. The Advantage uses all rubber dome switches and they aren't modular like modern sticks. so you'd have to carve up the circuit board and spend a monumental amount of effort to mount the chopped up bits and it would still be nothing like the Advantage. It would just be a messy POS at that point.
