Mega Man 9 and 10 actually do a lot of stuff that simply isn't possible on a real NES. They couldn't have put them on a cart without a ton of alteration, not to mention having to reprogram them from scratch.Tercoil wrote:They did the media release with the nes cart
but i am pretty sure they considered a limited release working nes cartridge, but the cartridge was going to be far too expensive to produce (it would have been old technology and harder to make the parts)
Also im pretty sure they could have made it despite the length of the game simply because there are flashable nes carts and i've seen up to like 25 mb (doesnt sound like much but thats like 25x a normal nes cart)
Also if they can fit Final Fantasy 1 and 2 onto regularly available nes cartridges i'm sure they could have fit megaman 9 =D
i think capcom just figured it wouldn't be profitable enough for them
Why no PSP Megaman 9 ???

Re: Why no PSP Megaman 9 ???
I was really hoping for a physical release of 9 and 10 on the DS but that unfortunately never came to pass.
As for seeing it on the Vita and other systems, it's a possibility. Capcom had a survey recently about digital releases and it featured a lot of Mega Man questions.

It's quite apparent capcom doesn't give a shit about the mega man franchise unfortunately
