I already linked to it in my post.
What if the music from your game was never released as a OST? How would you get the music other than the sites mentioned earlier?and there is also the ethical point of view. Thanks all for the info. So I guess my only option for the majority of soundtracks is to download them. Seems kinda crappy for it to be that way.
How about some recommendations? I'm already looking to get Goldeneye and the Mega Mans..

this might be a hard nut to crack, but in most cases, especially with games nowadays, you have the opportunity to get it somewhere..and if not..I would at least buy the game and then download it..GSZX1337 wrote: What if the music from your game was never released as a OST? While I completely understand that you have a problem with pirating and what-not, I think it needs to be viewed in context. I mean, most videogame soundtracks are never given an official release in the states, and to buy just a single disc soundtrack will cost anywhere between 30-60 dollars, not to mention how expensive the bigger multi disc ones can get. Plus there are soundtracks that never got an official OST release. And there are older soundtracks that are rare and out of print. In those situations, I find that downloading is pretty much acceptable.
Now if the soundtrack DID get a state-side release, like say a Splinter Cell, the more recent Sam & Max games, all of the FPS's mentioned earlier, then if you really like the tunes you should buy them. They don't have the massive price tags, the import costs, etc. and thus there isn't as much of reason to not just go out and buy them.

I wanted to be a Teminator but they require you have an armored hyperalloy skeleton and mine's mostly recycled truck tires.

Most insightful comment so far. Yes, why import a limited release disc that would cost you so much when a high quality mp3 rip is readily available? I tend to rip my own music but tagging the files can be a pain since internal game data seldom includes such information.Elwood wrote:While I completely understand that you have a problem with pirating and what-not, I think it needs to be viewed in context.
