Re: Half Life on DC

I'd definitely recommend a download. I didn't mind the load times too much, but then again, I've never considered the load times on the Sega CD to be particularly frustrating, unlike everyone else. I also grew up playing Half-Life on a severely under-powered PC, so the load times were actually comparable to what I remembered. Just keep in mind that you're not getting the definitive experience. You're right, though... Half-Life on DC is VERY cool. Just as Black & White, Max Payne, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Shinobi, Jet Set Radio Future, Super Monkey Ball, House of the Dead 3, Baldur's Gate, Propeller Arena, Virtua Fighter 4, System Shock 2, Unreal, Time Crisis 2, ToeJam & Earl 3, DeeDee Planet, Colin McRae Rally, NiGHTS 2, and Halo (yes, HALO) would have been. *Sigh* (These are all documented, by the way. Most of them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:C ... cast_games)
Anyway, if you want the files for the game, go here: http://www.snesorama.us/board/showthrea ... =half-life
The questions you've been asking have lead me to believe that you don't know much about burning back-ups. First, you're gonna have to download a program for burning ROM images. Don't worry, you can use a regular CD-r to burn almost every Dreamcast game in existence; only a few games, namely Shenmue II and Skies of Arcadia, are too large for the CD-r format. Trust me though, you can definitely fit Half-Life onto a CD-r. I've done it. Anyway, you should download a program like Alcohol 120%, Nero, or DiscJuggler. I suggest Alcohol 120%, though, because it accepts Nero, DiscJuggler, and BIN/CUE files.
Anyway, all you have to do is download the game files, go to burn ROM, select your files to burn, set the burn speed to something sensible (4X-8X; 12X at the maximum), and burn.
Have fun!
