Looks more probable now. Worldwide rankings will be a part of Ketsui EX and DDPDOJBLEX, something that would not be included otherwise, right? To compare, Otomedius G. does not have worldwide rankings and probably will not be localized.

Awesome news, considering Cave is godly and another Gradius/Parodius-style game is...not.
Odd though. Gradius/Parodius have a history in the West, whereas Cave has nearly none.

It's strange that a company like 5pb would recognize the Western-release potential of niche games while Konami USA doesn't. Wouldn't a large company have less to lose by releasing a low-selling game? Or did they become huge by only producing blockbusters and they don't want to bother with little games anymore?
5pb = specialize in Japanese culture-directed games
Konami = supposed international gaming company
Or perhaps the U.S. is afraid of anime boobies?

Wouldn't be the first time Konami dropped the ball on not localizing. Think of the money they'd be swimming in right now if they had localized guitar freaks before red octane took their idea. Instead they gave us Beatmania. That worked out...Doctor Fugue wrote:It's strange that a company like 5pb would recognize the Western-release potential of niche games while Konami USA doesn't.
