If you could only have 5 games on a desert island.......

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

hmm...does it matter how many systems? Or arcade machines? I might take a neo geo mvs with 5 games (six slot) they'd probably all be metal slug or maybe a few others with a metal slug for sure (probably #3)

Rock Band would be a definite
Shmups would be great to-constant replay and improvement!

Why just five? How about a ton of games on a desert island :)

Why so much Rockband? You'd be better off just bringing an actual instrument

Although I might consider games like Seaman, Morrowind, or Animal Crossing for some sort of simulation of human interaction. Ugh! That's hard! The ones that I listed are my favorites, anyway... except I need Phantasy Star IV... Jet Grind Radio and Skies of Arcadia are rad, too... ARGH!! Oh, and I'm getting a Sega CD soon... I'd wanna bring Snatcher, Sonic CD, and Lunar. Oh, and an Ecco game would be nice... plus I need to get good at Shining Force III... how about my five systems!?!?:

Sega Dreamcast
Sega Saturn
Sega Genesis
Sega CD
A COMPUTER. WITH INTERNET. (And emulators).

Yeah, that was pretty much a huge raping of the rules. Sorry!

Replayability is a big thing to me as well:

Lumines Live - infinitely replayable, oh yeah... especially with the download packs.
Rez - fun pumping good times... the same guy who did Lumines actually, I wish they'd do the download packs with this game too.
Space Giraffe - come on, what isn't to love about just staring into a screen for hours on end, it's a desert island... nothing better to do!
Panzer Dragoon Orta - probably my fav of the whole shooter side of the series. PDS would be nice too, but I'm going for replayability.

The last is kinda hard, I can't decide between:

Radiant Silvergun
Ikaruga
or DragonForce (the Saturn title, not the band).

Ikaruga would probably make it because that is on 360 as well and I'd have only one console in my tent... keepin' it simple. Keep the PDO disk in the drive, and the other 4 on the harddrive. I'm done... no worrying about scratching disks or carts getting wet. Now all I need is an air tight plexy glass box to stick it all in and bam I can stick this in water and still play. Wireless controllers and all... I don't even need access to my console.

That's what I love about my 360. I sit 20 feet across my living room on my couch, I can turn it on, and play any of my favourite games all from my couch with out moving. I'm sooooo lazy!

Yes, I know it's five games on an island. I just think Rockband is a waste.

Nothing said you couldn't take an instrument with you anyways. Hell, If I was stranded on an island i'd have a pretty fucking good try at making my own...

Why not rock band? It's a good score based game. It relies on skill to be successful at it. Therefore it has tonnes of replayability to it. Plus it's an awesome game anyway. I can think of much worse games take...
