Just by saying that, you are saying that you pirate games. If you didn't you would have said that you didn't. Way to go. Even if you said that you didn't you might have been lying. That was a lose lose win situation I suppose, because at least I got a good laugh. A better approach might have been just agreeing that pirating is bad or making a comment like mine or just saying nothing at all.

I'm sure pretty much everyone here has pirated at least one game, definately a good amount of music, and possibly watched a cam of a movie before it hit the theaters. Just like I'm sure pretty much all of us have jaywalked, ran a stop sign, or a stop light (at an empty intersection of course).

Actually, I refuse to pirate movies. I gotta help out Manny. He makes movies, you know.

I'm not supportive of DRM since the provider could cancel your purchase at any given time just like Walmart plans to do with their sold DRM'd music. Same could go for Valve or even Google if they decide to start publishing games online. Everyone should check out Good Old Games, a DRM-free project made by Polish company CD Projekt. I do hope this service prevails, but it might end up too obscured by the likes of Valve.

Perhaps the reason why x360 Fallout 3 is being downloaded so much right now is the pure and simple fact that the PC version Fallout 3 hasn't been leaked yet...

Edit:

It also appears that the PC version of Far Cry 2 hasn't been cracked/keygen yet either. This also explains why the console version has been downloaded more. It's simply easier to get running since it requires no serial and the system allows the game to boot without a legit disc anyway. (obviously, after it has been modded)

You're assuming that the majority of pirates have both a 360 AND a high end gaming PC, and they just choose whichever gets leaked first. That's just not true. There's no reason to own both. 360 and PC have more in common than any other existing pair of platforms. Who in their right mind would pay for both paths? You'd have to have money falling out of your ass, and if you did, you wouldn't be pirating in the first place. Stop defending consoles. It's that kind of fucked perception that started all this.

All this year and even some before it, 360 piracy has been rivaling or even bypassing PC piracy, (just like the two PlayStations before it) and I want people to finally open their eyes to the god damned numbers. I'm not some defender of the PC platform. I just cant stand when any kind of misconception gets spread out universally, reported as fact, and used as a scapegoat by idiot big wigs who can't accept responsibility for their product tanking.

If you don't believe me, then just wait a month for the next batch of releases, and watch the cycle repeat itself. I'd also like to reiterate that the mere fact that the 360 versions were pirated BEFORE the PC versions have/were only solidifies my argument.
