I've tried Compress, EZ 7z, and 7zX, and all of them suck. I always just end up using 7za on command-line, which works, but is a bit lame. Searching on google for "7z osx" doesn't bring up anything about drop7zip, sorry.
lol, quite true about google not finding Drop7zip easily. This "ass" just showed you where it was.

no love

man, I've been asking for Burning advice on Macs for over a year and never gotten a decent response. NO LOVE

I can't wait to try this tonight, I have toast 7, but I guess I'll try it w/ 5.2 since that seems to work. I just started only looking for Bin/Cues or ISOs with only one or two insignificant sound files, since all the games with many MP3s never worked no matter what I tried on my Mac.

this is how I have been doing it.
Unrar everything so you have a ISO some mp3s or oggs and a cue.
If you have oggs you need to convert them to mp3 or wav. I have a demo of music man which works.
Open toast and click other/ iso. drag your iso to the window. now click audio and drop the wavs or mp3s in there. If you use wavs then toast will turn them into aiffs itself. Make sure the pause is set to 2 sec. It should be by default.
now click other again so it goes back to the ISO.
This is the bit I didn't know about, hold alt and click record. It will have a little cry about mixed media blah blah click ok.
Now the burn window should come up, Ive been burning at max (24) with buffer underrun on and prefer disk at once turned on. Also write disc not session.
There are lots of places you can get toast 5 but im not sure I can mention them here.

I don't want to bring up a dead thread, but I don't want to make a duplicate either.. So, here it goes..
I use Mac OS X Tiger, and Roxio Toast 7..
The document for Toast 5 does NOT work on Toast 7. Actually, everything goes good so far, until you get to the part where you have to hold down Option/Alt and click burn.. When doing that, it never complains, and ends up only burning the ISO, but no audio.
Is there ANYTHING I can do? Toast 5 won't work with my two burners for some reason (might be a Tiger compatibility). What about that script? I'd like to use it...
Thanks..

The script is really only for Saturn games, but it could be edited to support other ISOs and formats. Also, it's a few different pieces, and it's not easy to install yet. Someday, I'll get it all packaged up with a GUI, but I've been lazy these few last months. I know it works though, cause I set CatFoodMoney up with it.
With me just getting a DS lite, expect delays...

The CD layout for the following systems are the same
SegaCD
Sega Saturn
NeoGeo CD
PlayStation 1
so the script should work..
Finally someone in the same boat as me...

I'm at the exact same place as you, I can't find a cheap copy or torrent of Toast 5 to try, but it might work for me since I'm on OS 10.3 (for older emulators I don't want to mess w/ compatibility on). There has to be a way!
Some ISO/MP3 games will work well enough to play and just end up missing some audio tracks, others won't burn at all or are really not fun w/o key sound and music. I've played 100s of hours of Street Fighter Alpha 3, for example, burning just the ISO and have no idea what the MP3 files would be for because it sounds perfect. I have no problem converting MP3 to waves but this doesn't seem to be the issue at all.
