I mean an OC. Basically, she's gonna be like Dick Grayson with attitude and a sarcastic sense of humor.
So you mean like Jason Todd, the second Robin?
Moore's own damn fault.
Moore makes it a point to never have anything to do with any movies based on his work. The comic is his in his eyes and that's all he wants to work on. If somebody makes an adaptation of his work, its theirs, not his.

At least, that's how he sees it.
Marvel is dishing out origins movies left right and center...which ive always felt is the wrong way to go about it. why not just start off with the heroes knee deep in some shit, and instead of developing the characters and introducing us to them through their home life. just let us get to know them as theyre dealing with some heavy scenarios.
so i say, Marvel Civil War would be a good movie to make...itd probably have to be a 3-parter
That's all well and good for folks that read comics, but how many average joes on the street know anything about Doctor Strange? Or Deadpool? Or even Daredevil for that matter. With comic sales flagging far behind what they were making a couple decades ago, Marvel's trying to invigorate the market by getting folks interested via the films, but they've got to appeal to people who haven't been reading them and don't know the back stories. Heck, I wonder how many folks can properly tell the difference between Captain America and US Agent.

How much information does the general, non-comicbook savvy crowd need? do they really need to know the life story of each character? and the limitations of their powers? which villain they captured 5 years ago?
No. its like in any other action movie, we dont always know why theyre the hero, but we know their cause, and who/what theyre trying to stop.
Civil war will be great for this. it opens up with a bang, and we immediately see super heroes siding with one another. Doesnt matter if you really know who they are, because you know their cause. Any priority information can be delivered within dialogue or in a battle, "HOLY CRAP ITS THOR HES A DEMIGOD WERE SCREWED"...the public that doesnt know who thor is, now knows hes a force not to be reckoned with.

Yes, yes YES!!!

I wanna see Anthony Rapp as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, cuz he kinda looks like Peter Parker in his late 20s (Rapp's in his 30s).

Kind of related: I want to see a good sequal to Superman Returns, which was pretty average, IMO.

Warner Bros actually plans on rebooting the Superman series.

Well, the only comicbook I've ever really enjoyed enough to read more than a few issues of is Deadpool. And call me a skeptic but I just don't think it would work well in movie-form. It'd either focus on the humor of the comics and not have enough action, or the other way around, I'd think. Though I am interested in seeing how they do Deadpool in that Wolverine origins movie coming up soon.

Deadpool is just too cool for movies. He's excellent in video game form however(see Marvel Ultimate Alliance)

I wouldn't mind seeing a movie based on Fray. I hear there is a movie on Y:The Last Man in the works that I'm interested in.

As for Watchmen, I'll just see how it turns out. I don't think doing a successful take on 300 qualifies you to do Watchmen. Oh yeah, Alan Moore is a douchebag. He's written some brilliant stories in his career, but he's still a douchebag

Any of you guys ever read Nextwave? Only the greatest series Marvel has put out in a decade other than anything with Deadpool in it?

bwhaha, Nextwave would make a hilarious movie spoof of comic book movies... but maybe it would be better suited for a short TV series instead

I could see deadpool movie being pulled off in a similar fashion as the movie, shoot 'em up with clive owen. That being the way it was cheesey B-movie dialogue in the middle of ridiculous-out-of-nowhere action.
