Shenmue fans, what do you think of Yakuza?

It's funny because someone mentioned this before on a thread about Shenmue and got reamed on how they are nothing alike. Ohh, this post begs to differ! Sounds fun, I've never played either of them. I may give them a try sometime.

I've just finished Yakuza, notching up 30 hours of gameplay. I had to explore and unlock everything!! I only wished I knew of it's greatness when I was going through my Shenmue cold turkey period... Still think Shenmue is the greatest videogame of all time, but Yakuza has to be up there in my top ten.

I'm really looking forward to Yakuza 2, although I'm too skint to purchase it at the moment... Glad to hear that it retains the original Japanese voice acting. Shenmue II was all the better for it. Would reccomend Yakuza for anyone out there who needs a Shenmue style 'fix'!
