"Couldn't get into the saturn version after playing marvel vs capcom on dc"

Im not all that familiar with Children, but I would much rather play Xmen vs SF or even Marvel Superheroes on Saturn than either Marvel vs Capcom on DC... which I have a hard time getting into for whatever reason. They just seem like a flashfest, more on the mashing side than the Saturn titles. Maybe Im dead wrong.

I spent time with Marvel vs. Capcom on the PS1 and I've got to say, there was a lot more to it than button mashing. Some of the character combinations could be absolutely devastating in the right situations, and while I don't feel it was quite as combo heavy as CotA is, they were definitely in the game. I should probably go back and play it a little more, it's been a while since I did.

Nothing quite like a dual Gambit team pulling off simultaneous Super Moves. Can you say 75-hit combo? Takes down 75% of they're health, too...
