Konami did a nice job porting the TMNT arcade games. Even the NES port of the first arcade game was pretty good. The NES couldn't come close to matching the graphics and sounds of the original arcade version, but everything was still recognizable and the gameplay captured the spirit of the arcade game just fine. And like the Turtles in Time port that would come out years later, it had additional levels and bosses, better balanced difficulty and better controls
With the S-NES, they had more hardware muscle to play with, and Turtle in Time was very close to matching the arcade version's graphics and sound, and with mode 7 it pulled off some nice visual tricks not present in the arcade version. It's like what Konami WISHED they could do with the NES port of the first arcade game. They got their second chance

I'm not a fan of any port that removes my favorite character.
The only Final Fight game on the S-NES worth playing was Final Fight 3. Though by the time it came out, the Streets of Rage series had already surpassed Final Fight.
Yeah, though of all of them, Final Fight Guy would be my favorite...namely because it featured my favorite character of the three heroes(Hagar being second). I honestly wouldn't mind the changes made to the port nearly as much if they had just left him in. But they did, and they left out Poison, and I just can't stand it. Every now and again I'll go in and play as Hagar, but other than that, it's not really worth my time.

I agree, though there were other ports of Final Fight besides the S-NES one that were pretty good and included Guy(like the Sega CD version). Guy is arguably the best character in Final Fight 3 so you oughtta check it out if you haven't already. And of course, there's his awesome appearances in Street Fighter Alpha games where he's fully playable and has that awesome aerial slam movie.
Have you heard of Mighty Final Fight on the NES? I think Guy is in it. It's like a funny take on the Final Fight series and I heard it's good
