Wow, did The Behemoth make an actual game this time? Instead of a shallow game with shoddy game design being masked behind its gorgeous graphics and comedy?
Castle Crashers looks pretty cool so far. Agree about the stupid commentary. I quickly turned down the volume

Just for the record, Destructoid has less journalistic integrity than most random MySpace blogs. I used to listen to RetroForce GO, until Racketboy opened my eyes and I too realized they really didn't know much about the games they discussed in the podcast.
Anyway, moving on. Does anyone here think this game might still be fun in single player? I might be able to get my wife to play, depending on the difficulty of the game.

I wondered about this too. Like 95% of the games on the 360 it looks like the emphasis is being put on the multi-player experience. I've enjoyed a few beat'em ups in solo play though, so I'd assume the game will be fun in single player. Of course, since Microsoft wants your money, you can't get all the achievements unless you have a gold account and go online.Flak Beard wrote:Just for the record, Destructoid has less journalistic integrity than most random MySpace blogs. I hate multi-player achievements too and I won't bore everyone with all the reasons why. However, I'm starting to resign myself to the fact that there are things about the 360's Profile/Achievement/Gamerscore system that I will always hate.Niode wrote:I have xbox live and I still HATE mplay achievements. Take DoA4 for example. Become ranked SS in online play. So how long AFTER you have mastered this game will it take you to amass the 195,000 points to gain this achievement.
I hate, for example, that you can't remove anything from your gamer profile or decide what goes on it. I just think it's stupid that if I rented a game and decided after playing it for awhile that I hated it, there is absolutely no way of removing it from my profile. Imagine you had a sister who signs into your profile and puts some stupid crap on it. It's now stuck on there forever.
I'm learning to just not care what's on my profile anymore. I once thought of my gamer profile as sort of being this cool way of expressing yourself, like a myspace page(since Microsoft lets you put in things like pictures and Gamer Zone descriptions). However, since you have NO control over what's on your profile, it's really just the equivalent of a gaming permanent record. Like a list of your credit history or accident history.

Anyway, they posted more:

I guess it's a symptom of living in the era of youtube. Everybody has to include stupid commentary or custom music in everything that they upload. So much vanity on the internet these days. I want to hear the music and sound effects of Castle Crashers, instead of the voices of these idiots. You see, if they cared about the game, they'd just show footage of it. This is really about them showing us all how cool THEY are, not showing us how cool the GAME is.
