The Dreamcast is the my favorite console, the genesis is the distant second.

I really enjoy the Genesis and the Dreamcast. Recently, I've been really drawn to the Saturn. It has so many interesting games and the cost for imports is actually pretty reasonable compared to the Genesis. Even though I don't own one I think I'll have to go with the Saturn.

How abut a top 3:
1. Sega Saturn
2. Super Nintendo
3. Sega Dreamcast
Number 3 slot would be a close one though, as I love my Gamecube just as much as my Dreamcast, but I think the DC edges it in terms of games, since it's got a better ratio of good games. I still play my Saturn a lot, probably just as much as my 360, which says a lot about the standard of games imo, plus the Saturn controllers can't be beaten for 2D fighters. Of course, the SNES is a legend in it's own right too. I still remember picking up my Street Fighter II cart on import, and messing with those converters where you needed to put a game of the same region as your machine int he back! Fun times.

Mine is the Gamecube followed closely by the NES. I didn't own or even play any systems between those two releases. Guess I was busy doing other stuff for fifteen years or so. 
I've since bought most of the consoles I missed out on, but haven't formed that same personal connection with them yet. It probably all boils down to time spent playing each console as much as the selection of games.

Whatever any one wants to believe about microsoft, but still, no one is saying its their favorite console although its really good specs and game library wise, even good exclusives...makes me wonder
what makes me wonder more, that most people favor failing consoles like saturn,dreamcast, gamecube, N64(by failing I mean they are last in their generation or actually failed financially ), and yet successful consoles with great libraries are less mentioned like ps1,ps2,360
why is that? Can it be because people like to stand next to the weak and help it?
the great does not need recognition?

I had a lot of memories on the Genesis, namely NHL 94. On the N64, it is San Fran Rush and 007 which rule. However, after getting back into retro the genny just doesn't hold up like it used to.
The Dreamcast was great but could have been so much better had it lived on. I think it has the benefits of online play (although irrelevant now), had really unique games, modern graphics, and a more modern controller. The 360 has the best controller ever (for everything but 2D, in which the Sat pad wins), great online play, and great graphics. The Saturn has unique games and a great controller. I almost can't put my foot on it, but there is just that "something special" that makes me really like it.

Or it could be because you're on a website that is a "guide for a retro gaming lifestyle"

Dreamcast. With the Dreamcast you can pretty much wake up and say I want to play a *place game type here* game and find one. The library of game is huge and never gets old, also it has great unique games like Jet Grind Radio or Space Channel 5. Though I do have to say the Saturn would be close, I'm still amazed at how games like Daytona USA or Sega Ralley never get old and have great upbeat soundtracks (Daytona USA) that newer games don't tend to have.

Ps2 followed by the Sega Saturn.
There is just too many good games for the ps2 too possibly name. Not to mention Ps1 backwards compatibility.
After modding my Saturn though, it bring in a close second race.
Overall I love all my systems though since they all bring something unique to the table.
