PC suggestions please?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

PC shumps are there just hard to find, unless you are ok with doujin games, then it is easy:
Kamui:

ALLTYNEX Second - remake of the FMtowns game of the same name:

Reflex (fairly new):

Soldner-X (though pretty, it is unfairly hard and very recently released):

Samidare:

I always suggest the Touhou series (Shrine Maiden series) made by Zun, but those are fairly new and hard has hell. For some reason most people write off fan games and doujin as poor quality, but this series is nigh perfect.

As for normal PC titles:
Fighting games:
Virtual Fighter
One Must Fall: 2097
Last Bronx
Xmen Children of hte Atom

RPGs:
Darkstone
Arcanum

Racing:
Big Red Racing
Carmageddon

In General:
All SCUMM titles
All Serria Adventure Titles
Treasure Mountain!

Hm, guess I missed it. And yeah, most people should know of it, but this guy sounds like he's just getting into PC gaming or something.

Haha I don't, you big nerd bucket!
Decent game though....but it's a FPS for the most part!

Who's the gamer now?

not being mean. all in fun, k.
Pulsar_t didn't leave that many games left with his post. :P
It's a FPS, but one that I think everyone should play at least once (and I doubt most would play twice; quite long).

Oh, and one game I forgot: Chalk, it's a somewhat new indie game, but it's a 2D psudo-shmup that looks and plays like it would work perfectly on a NDS. Instead of shooting enemies, you use the mouse to send their bullets back at them and such. Definitely odd, but also fun.

The OP/TC could save a lot of time by opting for MAME and custom emulators like the Model 2 and CPS3 emulator. Why seek conversions when you can get the real thing emulated to within an opcode (well not that precise but you know what I mean) of its silicon counterpart! Brawlers often lack extras so he wouldn't miss much.. It also opens up dozens of decent shmups and driving titles.

Thanks for all the great suggestions.

I do some emulating, mostly neo geo and other 16 bit stuff, but none of it is perfect... and its usually more of a hassle.

thanks again
