That's a lot like me. I've watch my wife beat more games than I have in the last few years. She's much more determined to complete something than I am.Ack wrote:What about games that you watch someone else beat? I own a few games that my girlfriend played through and I'd watch her progress. Afterwards, I usually have little to no desire to play that title, since I've seen everything about it(this is mostly with RPGs).
Out of 122 games in my collection, I've personally beaten...69 of them.
Did you beat your collection?

Same here.Afterwards, I usually have little to no desire to play that title, since I've seen everything about it(this is mostly with RPGs).
It can be quite disappointing at times. Like with Chrono Trigger...
As for games I've completed... well, I've completed every game in my Xbox collection, - including extras and the like - which consists of at least 23 games - 25, I think.
Yep, much of my gaming time has been spent on the Xbox, but I don't play the Xbox anymore - in fact, a while back I was considering selling it. Still am, actually...

I'd say... maybe 15% of my physical collection I've beat. And none of my Steam purchases, except for Portal, though I'll be playing through HL1 and the expansion packs once I beat Deus Ex.
Most the games I've beat are short ones, I tend to get bored half way in a long game, and move on to another. Maybe once I have some free time I'll try and beat the good ones I've given up on.

Not even close. I prolly have over 40 Atari 2600 games that don't interest me, therefore I'll never play them.

I'm guessing I've completed about 10% of my collection. I've played almost all of them, but I'll never have the free time and the patience to complete several hundred games.

I would say out all of the games I own, I've beaten close to 80-85% of them. Unless of course, I count games that I previously owned at one point. I tend not to keep stuff I lose interest in after playing a bit, as I want things in my collection that still have a nostalgic or sentimental value to them. The only things left unbeaten are ones I plan to get around to in the near future.
If you do count stuff bought and sold, then it's probably more around 60% or so.

Since I dabble in collecting from time to time, I will never be able to say that I've beaten every single game I own. Plus, with the backlog I currently have, it's just impossible to try and "catch up". It's too many games and there isn't enough time.
However, I'm playing a lot of 360 games right now, and I find that achievement points often give me the motivation to play through a game in its entirety, so I'm finding that I pretty much finish any game I start now, which is pretty cool.
