You're now talking to one of them.Kevman wrote:Which 2 morons voted for Labryinth Zone?
What's your favorite zone in Sonic 1?
As a kid, I had a fear of drowning and the concept of such in a video game got my attention at the time. Other games would just have you die by touching any water, but Sonic demonstrated the actual necessity for oxygen. I found it encompassing. What can I say?Kevman wrote:Well sorry for the outburst, your not a moron, but how do you like any water level in Sonic?
What you already saidMozgus wrote:What can I say?
Although it's certainly not my favorite*, I didn't hate it, and I think Moz has a good point. The way the water level was (well) implemented in Sonic 1 was relatively novel (I won't say it was the first game, because it probably wasn't - NES Megaman games probably had this, no?). Instead of going into a "swimming mode" like in Mario (or, IIRC, Alex Kidd) you moved as in land only with more resistance / jumping higher - and it may have been the first to have the "oxygen" thing, whereas Mario seems to have gills
* I haven't voted because I don't remember the stages very well - I should replay it one of these days.

Nah, there's no drowning in the Megaman games.Ivo wrote:What you already saidMozgus wrote:What can I say?
