I just played through the demo and I also found the spinning camera annoying. Sure, they're trying to make combos look cool and zoomed in and dynamic, but I don't know which way I'm facing when it zooms out, and also I'm having trouble keeping track of the enemies. I guess I'm new to this game, but I was pretty darn good at the first one. How is this camera better than NG1?

Yeah, I've actually found myself going in the opposite direction after a battle because of camera spinning everywhere making me lose my bearings. For a game so linear, I've gotten lost a surprising amount of times.

Been playing this on hard now. Very good game but I'm not sure it's better than the first (which is one of my all time favorites). It's kind of like comparing Terminator 1 and Terminator 2. Terminator 1 is the more complete package while T2 hits bigger highs and lows.

Ninja Gaiden 2 has better combat. Unlike Ninja Gaiden 1, all the weapons are useful and fun. However the frame rate and camera are awful. The camera system seems to be the same as in the original, but the levels are designs are more compact, causing it to get lost between stairs/pillars etc. Enemies with projectiles aren't necessary unfair, they're just not as much fun. And the bosses are lame compared to part 1. All in all it still one of my favorite new-gen games, just a bit disappointing that it's so unpolished. Oh and they're charging for extra costumes (and the new mission mode will be 800 ms pts!).

I'm on chapter 12 on acolyte (I know, it's easy), it seems like 12 is 10x harder than the previous 11 chapters. So far, I'm loving it and I can't wait till they come out with a "Black" version for me to buy.

Read that they're releasing 25 missions called "Mission Mode" which contains NO new enemies, for 800 points. Even when NG:B had 50 missions for FREE which included new enemies. I blame Microsoft.

I doubt they'll be any more versions of NG2 sold at retail. Xbox LIVE and downloadable content weren't where they are now, when that additional content was released for the first NG. Itagaki pushed for release of NG:B to get it in the hands of those who couldn't download it. With the current state of LIVE, and Itagaki no longer employed, don't hold your breath.
