that's all i got.
Are you kidding, that's it!!! that is freaking awesome.

I've found soo many good deals at thrift stores. That's why I keep going back. Goodwill is 50% off on Saturdays and 30% for students on Sunday, so anyone can use their old id's and get even better deals. I personally like the little wierd hole in the wall joint. I found a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 pro headphones brand new for 3 bucks a couple months ago. I'm still excited, and I even left the price tag on.

A couple tips:

Look through everything! Many you find good stuff in unexpected places. I found Lunar and Shining Force cd for $2 in a stack of unlabeled cd's.

Bring sanatizer!! Yep, it's gross sometimes.

Look for small mom and pop thrift stores. sometimes they will cut you a deal if you buy quantity. And they don't have professional pricers.

Go on discount days, and get there early. I found a PS2 slim, a SNES and a NES with 2 controllers and all neccesary cables for 13 bucks each, and I'm sure it would have been gone if I'd showed up in the afternoon.

Have patience, and dont' expect to find anything. It's supposed to be fun!

Lol, I got those for I think 80 bones off of amazon last Christmas. Damn good headphones for the price, specially your price. Just make sure you have the power to really utilize their true potential. iPods, Zunes, etc don't really have enough power to get those babies working. They still sound great, but they're even better used on a computer or A/V receiver. ;) They're designed for 64 Ohms, except if you have a diff version, as I believe there are some that are 32 Ohm versions, and most MP3 players are at most 32 Ohms, if not lower.

I use them for monitoring pro tools out of a headphone amp or a mixer. They sound awesome for doing vocal overdubs, you can't hear anything else but the mix coming through the phones. I have a pair of Sennheiser's HD457's I like those cause they are semi-open and I can tell when someones talking to me. I got those at comp usa when they were closing for 15 bucks. They were originally 50 but they were super discounted, i should have bought two!!!

I prefer beyerdynamic dt250's for mixing when I'm not using my Mackie monitors. Need a whopping 80ohms to power properly though. They aint cheap however. Worth it for the perfectly flat frequency response from 20Hz - 20kHz though.

Do you do audio work professionally or just a hobby? I've just got my first job working as an assistant engineer in a studio. I start next month :D

Congrats man!

Right now I'm just going to school and doing it as a hobby. I'm slowly building my own studio, but it's expensive as you know. I'm in a band right now, and we are trying to get pretty solid and play some shows. I'm also recording my friend's band as well. I just really enjoy it. To finish my degree I need an internship and I've got a couple things lined up. If they work out I may be able to stay on as a real employee. I'd really rather do my own stuff, but the experience would be great.
