Will playing it off an HDD solve the problem with slowdown since everything is being load faster??? Or is it a software issue???

Loading times will probably be better, but the in-game slowdown probably has to do with the software emulation.

Let's hope they collaborate with Digital Eclipse in making this one. I like what Digital Eclipse did with Sega Genesis Collection and Capcom Classics Collection 2. Those wre pretty decent jobs.
