Yahtzee has a love/hate relationship with Nintendo. Based off his previous reviews, it's not surprising about what his opinion. After all, the Smash series is nothing more than a giant crossover movie, sort of like Destroy All Monsters for Godzilla, selling completly off the names from previous titles. He does give a few good points with the characters being unlockables, but the game is really meant for Nintendo fanboys and not someone with as cold a heart like himself (remember, he liked Condemend).
I'm sure the young fellows who kept e-mailing him for the review didn't help matters either.
