There's always a chance that this will cause save corruption. People warned me years ago and I didn't listen, and eventually I lost a good portion of my saves.

bigger VMU could be done indeed. There are the multi-vmu units with lots of memory blocks. It implement a simple switch to provide several VMU-like storage capacity in a single unit.

You can put an sd card slot on the DC that would let you rip, and play games from it. There's a guide on the web somewhere.

Are you sure your not thinking about the gamecube, theres a sd to memory card adapter that lets you play homebrew on it?

Based on the interview with Rockin'N I will be publishing today, I'm thinking you are thinking of one for the Saturn.

More than a SD card reader, I like see a DVD hack... That will be useful to run perfect-backups in Dreamcast.

I'll try and find the link tomorrow, it's some japanese page. Also, yes i'm sure I'm not thinking of the GC. THis works with the serial port, and works like a coders cable.
