I reckon I must have about 120ish orginal games across all systems but it would be nice to know exactly how many I have. Sad. I know
i use ign but alot of times they are missing a game that i want to add to my list
I hope to have my new game database/collection management system up and running by the end of the summer.
And I should have support for adding missing games.

Since I have a Dreamcast and Shmups (I am assuming that is what you meant instead of FPS) is my favorite genre, I recommend from the top of my head and with the games I have in no particular order: Under Defeat, Border Down, Ikaruga, Zero Gunner 2, Giga Wing 1 & 2, Gunbird 2, and Bangai-o. If you have to get just one, then I will have to go with Under Defeat. I like old school shmups and that is as old as it gets, but with polished graphics.

I would highly recomend Trigger Heart Exelia for a DC shmup too. and Bangai-O is amazing.

I had this problem with a few sites in the past (IGN, 1UP, etc) but RF Generation has a pretty awesome database if you're into that kinda stuff. In the end I really didn't care about having all of the extra information...all I needed was Name / Region / Case? / Manual? / Notes. For a while I was doing an XLS, but I wound up migrating to OGL just because I liked the output a lot more. Personal preference and all that jazz.

If only there were a program on par with DVD Profiler for videogames. I'd love to just be able to type in UPCs and have a program build a local database of high resolution cover scans, screenshots, detailed release information, trivia, etc and then be able to export the collection to an online page with the click of a button. There's something I'd pay for.
