Goo Gone.
I had a Sega Saturn that had the old white stickers of death on them. Not only wouldn't it peel but it was hard as a rock.
I scratched it up with my finger nail a little and doused it in Goo Gone. Let it soak over night and it just slid off.
That stuff is invaluable if you're buying used. It's taken more shitty stickers (including bumper stickers off of arcade joysticks) off of my stuff then anything else.
