Castlevania Dominus Collection

I purchased the Dominus Collection last weekend, I couldn't resist playing a little of Haunted Castle Revisited. We basically got a new Castlevania game here! I thought it was going to just be the arcade game, with maybe tweaked controls and better difficulty balancing. But it doesn't even look like the original game. I feel like this will easily fly under the radar, so I'm gonna go big text for this...

Haunted Castle Revisited is basically a brand new Castlevania game!

If you're a fan of the Castlevania series, then look into this game. This is easily the best value of the Castlevania collections considering if the first one that they gave us a sorta brand new game.

I was slammed with work, and then got sick on top of that (I feel like everyone is getting sick right now) so I didn't have an opportunity to play any more of this. But I can't wait to get the time to sit down with Haunted Castle Revisited. And eventually, I would love to check out the DS games.

This makes me think... Will we get any future Castlevania collections? Some people have bitched that Symphony has been absent. I think it would be awesome to get Requiem as a wider release (Steam and modern consoles). But now that we got Haunted Castle, this makes me remember some other forgotten releases. Castlevania Adventure ReBirth was excellent, and was only ever released on the WiiWare digital platform. It would be excellent to get it in a collection.

I have CV Rebirth on my Wii. A pretty cool game. Unfortunately, it seems game files are harder to find these days.

Is Haunted Castle Revisited worth checking out eventually? I played the arcade game a while back but didn't think too much of it but I'm willing to hear out about the new version.

Haunted Castle is easily the worst CV game. Way too difficult; controls horribly; and Jank Belmont walks around like he pooped in his pants.
