Assassin's Creed IV questions
Re: Assassin's Creed IV questions
I hate collecting random doodads in video games. However, the sea shanties in ACIV are worth every second of hunting them down. The crew busting out in song after sinking a Spanish sloop adds so much character to the experience.

Pair it with an IPA and you may start singing along!

Re: Assassin's Creed IV questions
I'm about ten hours in now and I gotta say this is probably the best game I've played in a long time. Some general thoughts:
-Combat is serviceable but kind of button mashy. Honestly you're better off playing it like a stealth game. (You are an assassin after all.) Performing stealth kills is quite easy and preferable to getting into a skirmish with 14 guards.
-Whaling/fishing is okay. It's basically like the lake monster fight in RE 4 so kind of a cool little mini game.
-Ship combat is amazing once you get more weapon upgrades. The swivel gun is my personal favorite as you can potentially wipe out the enemies and not have to board the ship and engage in melee encounters.
I'm kind of stuck where I am because the story won't progress until I upgrade my ship. Out of curiosity I attacked a legendary ship and it sank me in less than 60 seconds. Lol. My volley of cannonballs did exactly one pixel of damage on its health bar. Guess I'll come back to that fight later.
