Sony PS4

The Sega Saturn is nowhere to be found...(It’d probably be number 11, though. It IS a good looking console.)

PS4 classic but the full matte (not the glossy) is my #2.

I was always partial to the Atari 2600 Vader model. Something about its aesthetic is both retrofuturistic and imposing. It's the nihilistic cyberpunk game console we deserve.

Model 1 is still my favorite. I like the oval buttons, glossy front top plate, and larger LEDs.

Here's a good image of many of the other models, car GPS with LCD included

I'd throw the Panasonic 3do in there somewhere, love the slick looking top. Looks alot better than it plays lol.

Black Japanese Dreamcast is probably better, but was neve easily obtainable. I usually just contain non-limited editions in these kind of rankings.

Did you just throw the names of consoles into a hat and pick them at random?

I think my favorite console hardware designs are:
  • Black, round-button Saturn
  • Skeleton Saturn
  • PC Engine Core Grafx
  • PC-Engine Engine Duo
  • Nintendo GameCube
  • Sega Genesis Model 1
  • Atari woodgrain 2600
  • Sega Dreamcast

Nope! These are the best looking consoles. The Intellivision is particularly sexy...

I definitely like the Saturn. Prefer model 1 as stated. Agree the skeleton SS is super clean.

Ignore the CD... but to anyone who has owned an Atari Jaguar in person, they look really nice. That matte black... dark grey?... with the bright, contrasting red logo, power button, & LED. It's a low profile machine. Looks really nice in the entertainment center IMO between the small profile, color scheme, and curves & vents aesthetics.

No cart slot dust cover isn't smart so I always left a game in. That said, not worrying about flaps changed the design look.

I'm not a big fan of the exposed PCB pins in back for video connections. But not a big deal once you have anything other than RF hooked up.

Doesn't beat the Saturn, but very high on my list. Am I alone here!?

My list would probably go:
- Model 1 Saturn
- Original Turbo Duo (dark, not "r")
- Jaguar
- Model 1 "High Definition" Genesis
- Panasonic FZ-1 3DO

Ok, no love for my Jaguar ? What if the white color scheme (later used for dental technology, true story) had been used. I love this look too:

Now... this grey + teal color scheme controller WAS officially released for the Atari computer line up (different pin connector):
