Neither do I. When I read about all the headaches people are having, I don't wish to add to that number. Maybe I'm just crazy.
It's all about the games. I am totally willing to put up with it (I'm on my third 360) because I love the games. My 360 has been gone only about a week each time, and it hasn't killed me yet.

I agree it's inexcusable for the hardware to fail so much, but it hasn't cost me any extra money and so what if I can't play Heavy Weapon for a couple of weeks. They need some new people manning the phones, however.

What ever happened to loyality based on QUALITY? If a console came out during the super nintendo/gensesis era that had the same issues as the 360 it would have failed!

Amen. One of the main reasons I haven't gotten an Xbox360 is the quality is terrible. I also hate the idea of having to pay to use Xbox Live. Oh, and I'm broke :D

I agree MS feels somewhat invincible. Hopefully they learned a lesson, but probably not.

So I should buy a Wii just because they don't break? Even though I don't like the games?

I agree the console itself is crap and inexcusable. I'm just saying I'm willing to put up with it for the games. It's not that big a deal.

And if my Genesis broke down a few times after I bought it way back when, I would get upset but then if they fix it and it only takes a couple of weeks, I don't mind because I just want to play those great games.

I'm not telling you to buy a Wii. I'm guessing you bought the X-Box 360 because of graphics and game library. I would rather go for a ps3. They do not have the same issues and thier game library by the end of the year will be great. You paid microsoft a LOT of money for hardware to play these games. Three times you have waited for it to get fixed at two weeks a pop adds up to SIX weeks of NOTHING. It will only get worse. I know a person who has sent back thiers FIVE times. Shame on software companies for supporting crappy hardware and shame on the consumer for putting up with it. When the ps3 library gets to your liking sell or trade in the 360 for a ps3 which has a FREE network unlike x-box live! Do not settle for crap....man I think I could go into a whole thesis on how the 360 success despite crappy hardware is a reflection of the many socital problems in our country!

BTW: I'm not pushing the ps3 because I'm a sony fantanic. I own a Wii not a ps3 or 360. I may get a ps3 down the road, but I will never support defective hardware!

i personnaly got so fed up with the 360 with live and all that i bought a ps3, oh and acheivements are bullcrap that cause you to play the game compulsivly instead of enjoying yourself, sure i would have never finished oblivion without them, but the lost sleep and lack of enjoyment just to say "i beat the game" was bull crap. Thank god for retro games and... SONY. Yes i love sony and hate them. But i feel their games are better made and its a fact that the ps3 is a brick, the one in gamestop got upwards of 140 degrees farenheight without failing or slowing down in the least bit. Not to mention 360's sound like jet engines, but thats my 2 cents.

I will definitely buy a PS3 if it has the games I want. In a perfect world I would own every console and every game ever made, but I just don't have that kind of cash. This is turning into a console wars thing and I know we all want to stay away from that. I bought a 360 for Forza 2 (please don't tell me GT is better...they are both great, okay?), N3 (yes I'm the only one who likes this game), Test Drive Unlimited and most important of the retail games: Ninja Gaiden 2. I also love GeoWars, Heavy Weapon, Assault Heroes, POP Classic, Triggerheart ('cause I don't have it on my DC) and a bunch of other XBLA games that I just had to have.

I mean we all make our own decisions, right? You can think I'm an idiot for giving Microsoft lots of money for a crap console and I won't mind. Everybody thought I was an idiot in '93 or whenever I bought a SegaCD. It had problems, no support and killed off quickly. I still love it and am so happy that I bought one based on my own preferences.

It doesn't matter what I think of the Wii or its games, if someone else takes all the factors into their decision on getting that console and they are satisfied, that's great.

So, I made a choice, and I'm satisfied, in fact quite happy. I do lots of things that people think is stupid but why should it bother me?

They're all just video games, eh?...let's enjoy them in peace.

i got red ring of death once
but my 360 didnt die
it was red from it not being plugged into to its brick completely
but i would probably buy another one if it did die
i got about 30 games(copied) and 3 wireless controllers
a guitar hero 3 wired controller and an official 360 wheel
i rarely play it but it is something that i wont regret buying
of course if i payed out of the ass for crappy games that would be another story

no console war here, but i guess im the oposite as i bought a PS3 for GT5...
I only have about 9 games for it with the next being lost planet.

Resistance
Motorstorm
Warhawk
MoH: Airborne
CoD4
Uncharted
Heavenly Sword
UT3

and i cant think of the last one, im a hardcore Sony fanboy but i did have a 360 and the only game i really liked that much was Dead Rising. IMO Mass Effect would be great if only they removed the grain on the video and like most RPG's dont make it 70 hours long, most of us normal people dont have that time. But i say, if you can link 360 to PC online and play vs. why not try doing it multi-console.

LOL, it took me 12 hours to beat it for the first time (main quest only) and 20 hours for the 2nd time (exploring all the planets). :D
