There's no rule that a haiku has to be about nature. My inspirations come mostly from introspection, not nature.

Traditional haiku typically were about nature or natural observations. Deviations were unusual and not the norm. Modern haiku deviate much more often. So no, there isn't a rule, but there is a tradition.
