Re: End of Xbox Live Indie Service
Xbox Live Arcade isn't being shut down; it's just the Xbox Indie Games.

Re: End of Xbox Live Indie Service
right. I think there's confusion because of the generic brand name. It's not "indie games on Xbox" that are being taken down, it's games specifically released under the "Xbox Indie Games" branding.ElkinFencer10 wrote:Xbox Live Arcade isn't being shut down; it's just the Xbox Indie Games.

Right. Sorry if my OP was too vague. That's my bad.

They should be. Here're two of them:ElkinFencer10 wrote:Are those Xbox Indie games? I can't find them when I search for them.prfsnl_gmr wrote:If you don't already have them, Elkin, be sure to get Escape Goat, Manic Miner, and Jet Set Willy. (The last two are ports of ZX Spectrum games. They are insane.)

Re: End of Xbox Live Indie Service
alright well then I will co-sign Escape Goat. And it's only $1. I might even re-buy it myself on Xbox just to have it there. I love those games. Is Escape Goat 2 on Xbox as well? Is it also considered part of the Indie Live games? Escape Goat 2 is even better than the first.
Are any other Magical Time Bean games listed and going away as well? There's the two Spellcaster games are they on there too?
EDIT: Actually, it doesn't seem like any of this stuff is still playable on Xbox One? Oh well. I guess I won't be re-buying haha.

Re: End of Xbox Live Indie Service
Bump.
This service shuts down NEXT WEEK! Get the games while you still can!
Here's what I have:
Aeternum
Amazing Princess Sarah
Apple Jack
Apple Jack 2
Bleed
Dark
DLC Quest
Escape Goat
I Made a Game with Zombies in It!
Jet Set Willy
Laser Cat
Manic Miner
Miner Dig Deep
Mount Your Friends
One Finger Death Punch
Protect Me Knight
Snops Attack! Zombie Defense
Super Amazing Wagon Adventure
The Tempura of the Dead
Time Vikeing and Space Raptor!
Twin Tiger Shark
The Useful Dead
I have played a little of each one, and I recommend all of them. Moreover, some of these are only available through this service; so once it shuts down next week p, they may be gone forever. (Protect Me Knight is insanely good. I still need to pick up the 3DS sequel, Gotta Protectors, but I can't wait to play through it.)
Is there anything else I should get?

Re: End of Xbox Live Indie Service
It looks like the Indie Service will stay alive for another week. But I loaded up on games anyway!
One title I bought long ago that might be of interest is The Maid-San's Caving Adventure. You play as a stereotypical anime maid (not just any maid-san, she's THE Maid-san) and go through a cave full of monsters. Since your character is so moe, The Maid-san is only capable of jumping and cowering in fear.
It used to be BRUTALLY DIFFICULT but I think has been patched to be more playable. I found it amusing regardless!
I also decided I might as well pay the $1 to own "No Luca No" which is one of the dumbest games ever made. You play as a guy who wants to eat cereal, but your cat Luca also wants to eat your cereal, so you have to push him away. There's nothing to it, it's super-stupid, and I found it amusing when I played the demo some years back.

Re: End of Xbox Live Indie Service
Can you play these games offline, or do you still need to be connected online?
