Thanks for the feedback. I'm still leary about using rubbing alcohol as I've read that can cause corrosion... :cry:

Methylated spirits would work fine. I'd try it without any chemicals first though.

I have a brand called "Diggers" which I use for cleaning game cartridges, and which I used to clean the contacts on my SNES controllers. As for the "without any chemicals" part, I just meant rub the contacts with a dry cloth.
