I gave Hydro Thunder to a friend when I got Wave Race on the GCN. Big mistake. I don't regret giving HT to a friend, per se, he's got enjoyment out of it, but I do wish to get it again and get rid of Wave Race.
Despite selling hundreds of games these past few years, I don't really regret any of it. I never traded in as a kid either, so I never lost out that way. I have had games stolen from me, but since I didn't purposefully get rid of them, the only regret is not being more careful/secure.
What do you regret selling/getting rid of?
Re: What do you regret selling/getting rid of?
Most of my regrets are things I passed up, or returned.
Not a whole lot that is actually that valuable, but still,
Like the time I returned a Sega Menacer for $5 because I didn't understand that it needed batteries (to be fair, I was younger and the guy at funco didn't understand it either). Not interested in paying for shipping on this.
Passed up Brigandine for around $30 once, mostly based on a bad review I read, but I wish I had it now.
Everything else is small potatoes or Genesis carts that I just wasn't interested in at the time (and are now ridiculous).
Otherwise, my pac-rat ways have served me well.

...just another lost soul...

I allowed my mother to trash game boxes to save space. I was a kid so I didn't have much of a choice in the matter but yeah, that sucked.
What is worse is that it was in no way necessary. The space saved was beyond minimal. So yeah :/

Earthbound.
I bought Earthbound from EB Games for about $20 and I returned it later that day.
Years later, I bought it again. This time, for $120.
I didn't like the battle system at the time and I didn't have much patience for it. Years later, I should have taken my time and enjoyed the game for what it is instead of comparing it to the Final Fantasy series.
Besides that, every game I've ever traded in has been bad because the game was bad, so I have no regrets for that.

Moved like 10 times growing up. Somehow lost a lot of boxes/manuals in between moves. Nowadays I kind of think my parents just made that story up and dumped them all or something. lol

Zelda II NES for Toys R Us bucks,Same with Super Mario Bros 3. I still don't have those specific versions yet.
Getting rid of my Console boxes on 2005. SNES,Original Xbox,Gamecube. I know not worth much but I kept them then when emptying out a storage shed dumped them without thinking.

I traded in a Growlanser Generations boxed set, that I later had to find again for higher price.
I sold a Bucky O'Hare cart that was mint for very low and it since spiked in price.
I lent my old copy of FFVI on SNES and never saw it again. Same with my original cib copy of Ogre Battle 64.
I gave away my original N64 with some games to a younger kid, friend of the family when I went off to college. I don't regret being kind and giving a gift to a kid, but I kind of wish I still had the same console when I was a kid. I still at least have my genesis and SNES.

Re: What do you regret selling/getting rid of?
I sold my Intellivision and 20+ games, most with all inserts and boxes, for all of $20. Blah.
I did a lot of trading games in at a local pawn shop to get new ones to play. This was mostly NES stuff. Just before the NES went absolutely bonkers on pricing, I started scouring eBay with the goal to reobtain any game I had at one time, regardless of if it sucked or not, and was successful in doing so.
(That being said, not many of them did suck, my brother and I were pretty discerning kiddos, some of which we owed to Nintendo Power.)

Re: What do you regret selling/getting rid of?
I got rid of my entire original Nintendo 64 collection for dirt, but the one piece I regret the most would be my Wrestlemania 2000 cart because I spent so much time on the create-a-characters and the roster on that cart was insane. I kinda take solace in the fact that the battery probably died and the cart is erased now anyway...

Re: What do you regret selling/getting rid of?
Sold my original Genesis Model 2 I received as a Christmas gift in 1993, along with all my games (about 20 games, except for Streets of Rage 2) to Funcoland right before N64 came out, for about $100. Totally regret it to this day ... still tracking down games I sold back then.
Also, regret not keeping any of my SNES boxes. I was a kid then so it didn't really occur to me to keep em. I still have all my original booklets and maps for my games though.
Return Fire, PS1 (longbox), let my cousin borrow this game shortly after I got it, never got it back ... need to track it down.
Not necessarily regrets, but other games I somehow lost over time: Goldeneye 007, Diddy Kong Racing, Pokemon Red cartridge.
