So are most of your favorite movies and shows just one-offs?

The Simpsons is poorly animated and the character designs are poor both from a aesthethic point of view and a practical one.

Sure it was more rough but I liked that they were not afraid to explore more of the ship in sets before getting comfortable in later seasons and only showing the same few locations. I also like how they used holographic displays in the early seasons. I like that the characters were still unfamiliar with one another. One of my fave episodes is the last episode of season 1. I won't say they are the best but easily my fave seasons.

The first Q episode where we still never even see an actor fill in for him is one of the best. Also the Ron Jones music in the first 3 seasons was absolutely incredible. It's so stupid how they kicked him out and it was just elevator music in the second half.

Anyways, I don't fully agree, but the first two seasons were definitely campy and fun in a good way sometimes with some highs. Season 3 is my favorite by far though, everything changed and was perfect there. I think the later seasons might have some of the best episodes here and there, but from start to finish season 3 is a monster.

Heh, you should see what it looked like back when it first started. The Tracey Ullman shorts and first season are rough.

Oh, I've seen those! They are positively awful though they at least follow animation principles. You know, stretch and sqautch, transitions, poses...all stuff that was discarded later on. Not that it can save them, they look so bad like 70 animation rejects.

Talking about 70 animation rejects, for the love of my life I don't understand how Quasi at the Quackadero is regarded as being decent, much less "one of the best animation shorts of all time".

I mean, just look at this:

Please tell me. Does it look awful to you too? Because fans of the film make me feel I'm the crazy one!

It doesn't look awful at all, but I can see how a person wouldn't like it. It is very experimental and that is okay with me.

BogusMeatFactory wrote:I have not enjoyed game of thrones. I read the first 3 books and ended mid fourth. It just isn't clicking with me. I watched the first season and ended mid 2nd season and I feel like the books are what kept me from enjoying it. I can't really pinpoint it for the show, but it just doesn't attract me. I'm not saying it is bad or that people shouldn't like it. Just never kept my interest.

I'm with you there, Bogus. I feels like everyone around me seems to like it, but I...just don't care.

who is forcing you to see hundreds of them a year?

Or are you just saying that you're upset that something that you don't like exists?

It is an unpopular opinion admittedly.
